The Vancouver American Wine Society is pleased to extend to you an invitation to join us as a member. We offer a friendly, non-intimidating environment in which to learn about and taste the wines of the United States. There are no criteria for membership except a lively curiosity, an eager palate and a desire to meet others who share your interest.

We are Vancouver's largest and most active wine appreciation club, presenting up to twenty-four wine functions a year in association with the U.S. Consulate General. These events are organized to accommodate both the beginner and the advanced oenophile. We feature a variety of events including informal wine tastings, sophisticated blind tastings for the advanced enthusiast, classes for novice tasters and "just for fun" events such as picnics, barbecues, restaurant dinners and winery tours. We also sponsor seminars, lectures and audio-visual presentations.

Our Society works with wineries and wine importing agents encouraging the local listing of American wines in British Columbia Liquor Distribution outlets, private wine stores and restaurants throughout the province.

A portion of the event fees are contributed to charity. The Vancouver American Wine Society has supported Ronald McDonald House for the past several years and is a sponsor of one of its accommodation rooms.

Annual (calendar year) membership fees are $50.00 per person.
